The Christmas Skater

Thursday, Dec. 24 at 3pm

Sherwin Sleeves has retired to a small cabin on top of Marked Mountain in LeMonday, New Hampshire. Every year at Christmas, he takes out his skates and goes for a ritual journey down a wilderness river...always hoping that a woman from his long ago past will finally agree to meet up with him at a certain special spot along the river. (30 min) Christmas Stories from Around the World Monday, Dec. 21 at 3pm Take a break from your mad holiday dash and listen to Christmas traditions from around the world. Join our Maryknoller guides as they describe some of the most memorable Christmases they have experienced. Hans Ahlström is the host of several programs including the daily musical variety show Weekday, the mostly straight ahead jazz show Night Studio, the self explanatory Blues Today, and the eclectic Sound Spectrum. You can also hear Hans as the local host of NPR's All Things Considered news magazine. He also helps manage Public Radio 90's web content, interviews local and visiting writers and artists, works with NMU student interns, and writes the occasional news story.
