PROPOSITION FOR AUTRAIN TOWSHIP TO FUND GENERAL OPERATING SERVICES

Shall Au Train Township levy annually, for the specific purpose of funding General Operating Services in Au Train Township, not more than 1 mill, ($1 for every $1,000 of taxable value.  A property with a taxable value of $75,000 would be taxed $75.00 per year for the millage).  Shall the limitation on the total amount of taxes which may be imposed on all taxable property within Au Train Township, be increased by said 1 mill, for a period of Five (5) years, 2016 to 2020, thereby raising an estimated $69,982.00 in the first year the levy?

LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT PROPOSAL

 

This proposal will allow the school district to continue to levy the statutory rate of not to exceed 18 mills on all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law, required for the school district to receive its revenue per pupil foundation allowance and renews millage that will expire with the 2016 tax levy.

Shall the currently authorized millage rate limitation of 18 mills ($18.00 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) on the amount of taxes which may be assessed against all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law, in AuTrain-Onota Public Schools, Alger County, Michigan, be renewed for a period of 2 years, 2017 and 2018, to provide funds for operating purposes; the estimate of the revenue the school district will collect if the millage is approved and levied in 2017 is approximately $791,489 (this is a renewal of millage that will expire with the 2016 tax levy)?

PROPOSITION FOR MUNISING TOWNSHIP FOR PURCHASING & MAINTAINING FIRE EQUIPMENT

 

A Proposal to renew an increase Tax Limitation by 1.5 Mills for the Purpose of Purchasing and Maintaining Fire Equipment, for the Fire Department within the Township of Munising.

Shall the tax rate limitation of 15 mills, as provided in Section 6, Article 9, of the Constitution of the State of Michigan, of 1963, on total amount of taxes which may be assessed against all taxable property in Munising Township for all purposes be increased for a period of Five (5) years, from 2016 to 2020, inclusive, by 1.5 tenths of one percent (1.5 mills), upon the taxable valuation of all taxable property in said Township, the Munising Township Board to have the power, in its discretion, to levy a special tax in each of the said years in any part of all of the said authorized increased limitation, but not to exceed said 1.5 tenths of one percent (1.5 mills) as authorized, the funds resulting therefrom to be used for the Purpose of Purchasing and Maintaining Fire Equipment for the Fire Department within the Township of Munising?
