Armed robbery suspect bound over to Marquette Circuit Court

MARQUETTE, MI--   A man arrested in Ishpeming for armed robbery following a police standoff has been bound over to circuit court.

Kirk Schultz, 28, was one of four suspects developed following the robbery on the 500 block of North Fourth Street in March.  Police determined he was in a residence on Prairie Avenue in Ishpeming May 12th.  When Schultz wouldn’t come out officers entered the house and arrested him.

Schultz is charged with armed robbery.  He remains lodged in the Marquette County Jail.

Circuit court arraignment is set for June 10th.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
