Arraignments held for Manistique drug suspects

MANISTIQUE, MI--    Two people arrested in a Manistique drug bust this week have been arraigned.

The arrests were the result of a joint investigation by the Manistique Public Safety Department and the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team. 

Alesha Beauchaine, 41, is charged with delivery of Suboxone, two counts of delivery of meth, delivery on school or library property, and maintaining a drug house.

Ryan St. John, 43, is charged with possession with intent to deliver meth, conspiracy to deliver meth, possession with intent to deliver heroin, and habitual offender – fourth offense.

Officials say additional arrests and charges are expected.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
