Bark River woman dies in single-vehicle crash

CRYSTAL FALLS TOWNSHIP, MI--   The Iron County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic accident in Crystal Falls Township. 

Friday around 3 p.m. deputies were dispatched to US-141 near the intersection of Kohon Road. A vehicle had gone over a guardrail and was lying on its roof at the bottom of a steep embankment. The driver, Glorious Ross, 56, of Bark River, was found deceased inside.

The crash remains under investigation.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by Michigan State Police, the Department of Natural Resources, Iron County Search and Rescue, the Crystal Falls Fire Department, and Aspirus EMS.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
