Be careful of COVID-19 even while hunting, health officials say

MARQUETTE, MI--   The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says hunters need to stay aware of coronavirus precautions while at deer camp.

Officials say it’s important to limit your exposure to people who aren’t from your household. Masks should be worn when indoors with people not from your household and within six feet of others outside. Frequent hand washing, surface cleaning and disinfection should be done at camp to prevent the potential spread of COVID-19.

Also, names and contact information should be easily accessible for everyone at deer camp in case someone gets sick on the trip. That will help your local health department notify people who have been exposed.
