TAMARACK CITY, MI-- A boil advisory has been issued for an area in Houghton County.
Residents in Tamarack City and Hubbell are being advised to boil their tap water for at least five minutes before drinking or cooking with it.
A water main break Tuesday at M-26 and 6th Street prompted the advisory. Officials say it will be lifted once tests indicate water samples are free of bacteria. Residents should then flush their taps for at least ten minutes when service is restored, likely in one or two days.
