CHOCOLAY TOWNSHIP, MI-- A Marquette Area School District bus and a passenger vehicle were involved in an accident in Chocolay Township Friday.
Police say around 3:10 the vehicle was eastbound on County Road 480 near Little Lake Road when the bus pulled onto the roadway in front of it. The vehicle hit the bus’ front right tire area.
One occupant of the bus suffered minor injuries and sought their own treatment.
The bus sustained minor damage. The passenger vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
Police cited the bus driver for failure to yield. Weather and road conditions are not considered to be factors in the accident.
No names are being released at this time.
