Car show debuts in Marquette

MARQUETTE, MI--   A portion of Third Street in Marquette will be filled with classic cars Saturday.

The inaugural Classic Cars on Third Car Show will be held from noon to 4 p.m. between Park and Ohio streets.

First through third place will be awarded in 17 different categories, along with awards for best of show, people’s choice, and mayor’s choice. The awards will be handed out at 3:30.

All proceeds from the car show will benefit the Marquette Women’s Center in remembrance of Jessica Drummond, a victim of domestic violence. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
