Caspian man jailed on meth charges

CASPIAN, MI--   An Iron County man was arrested Monday following a meth investigation by the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team.

The Michigan State Police Emergency Support Team executed a search warrant at a house on Lennox Street in Caspian. Officers found numerous components used to manufacture meth, as well as the finished product.  

The homeowner, a 22-year-old Caspian man, was arrested at the residence and lodged at the Iron County Jail on several felony charges for manufacturing meth.    

UPSET was assisted by the Caspian Police Department, the Iron County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police from the Iron Mountain Post, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and the Caspian/Gaastra Fire Department.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
