Chocolay crash results in arrest

CHOCOLAY TOWNSHIP, MI--   A female driver was arrested for drunken driving in Chocolay Township this week.  

Township Police say Tuesday around 8 p.m. the woman lost control of her vehicle while on a curve on Mangum Road.  The GMC left the roadway and struck a tree.

The driver was taken to UP Health System Marquette for minor injuries.  She was then arrested for operating while intoxicated.

No other information is available at this time.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
