The Marquette Symphony Orchestra’s Summer Strings returns for a second year with three free performances.

The third is Wednesday, July 24 at 6:00 p.m. at Ore Dock Brewing Company, featuring rock through the decades.

This performance is free, open to all ages and features members of the Marquette Symphony Orchestra strings section. Donations will be accepted.

The show will feature rock through the decades. There will be an improved sound system for the instruments this year.

The group's set list includes Bohemian Rhapsody, Stairway to Heaven, Kashmir and a Lady Gaga hit mix.
 
The full Marquette Symphony Orchestra begins its 2019-2020 season on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Kaufman Auditorium. The season opener features the Brahms Double Concerto, performed by violinist Scott Flavin and cellist Ross Harbaugh of the Bergonzi Trio. They are frequent performers in the Pine Mountain Music Festival. This concert will also include Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony and David Little’s Haunted Topography.
