UP coronavirus case count

MARQUETTE, MI--   The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Upper Peninsula just keeps climbing.

Sunday and Monday numbers together totaled 139. The new case count per county is as follows:

Baraga-2

Delta-55

Dickinson-8

Gogebic-1

Houghton-20

Iron-19

Keweenaw-2

Mackinac-2

Marquette-13

Menominee-17

One person died in Delta County and two in Iron County.

As of Monday afternoon a total of 2,183 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the Upper Peninsula. Twenty-nine people have died.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
