Coronavirus case count in the UP

MARQUETTE, MI--   The Upper Peninsula added 264 coronavirus cases and five deaths Monday.

The number per county is as follows:

  • Alger-5
  • Baraga-16
  • Chippewa-12
  • Delta-27
  • Dickinson-44
  • Gogebic-17
  • Houghton-16
  • Iron-12
  • Keweenaw-3
  • Luce-2
  • Mackinac-3
  • Marquette-85
  • Menominee-10
  • Ontonagon-10
  • Schoolcraft-2

Two deaths were reported in Dickinson County and one each in Iron, Menominee and Ontonagon counties.
As of Monday afternoon a total of 10,943 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the U.P. Officials say 208 people have died.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
