Court hearing set for Santi

IRON MOUNTAIN, MI--   A pretrial hearing is set for a Crystal Falls man who led police on a chase from Wisconsin into Michigan in December.  

Michael Santi, 51, is accused of running from Marinette County Sheriff’s deputies on US-141 and driving into Iron Mountain, where his truck ran over stop sticks and hit a tree. 

He’s charged with ten felonies, including malicious destruction of property, resisting and obstructing an officer, and fleeing and eluding. 

A pretrial hearing is set for February 1. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
