COVID-19 new case count for UP

MARQUETTE, MI--   The number of new coronavirus cases in the Upper Peninsula increased by 102. Wednesday.

The number by county is as follows:

Alger-5

Baraga-3

Chippewa-1

Delta-39

Dickinson-13

Gogebic-6

Houghton-7

Iron-9

Luce-2

Mackinac-3

Marquette-9

Menominee-2

Ontonagon-1

Schoolcraft-2

One death was recorded in Baraga County and one in Dickinson.

A total of 3,661 COVID-19 cases have been lab-confirmed in the U.P. The death toll stands at 62.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
