Current UP coronavirus case count

MARQUETTE, MI--   Officials say 136 COVID-19 cases were confirmed in the Upper Peninsula Thursday.

The cases per county are as follows:

  • Alger-2
  • Baraga-5
  • Chippewa-1
  • Delta-28
  • Dickinson-28
  • Gogebic-4
  • Houghton-36
  • Iron-3
  • Keweenaw-2
  • Mackinac-2
  • Marquette-1
  • Menominee-21
  • Ontonagon-2
  • Schoolcraft-1

Four deaths were also reported.
As of Thursday afternoon a total of 3,149 cases of coronavirus had been confirmed in the U.P. Fifty people have died.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
