ESCANABA, MI-- A Gladstone teen avoided serious injury, after he crashed his car in Escanaba.
The Delta County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened Sunday around 2:10 a.m. on US-2 near the Buck Inn. Deputies say the 16-year-old male fell asleep at the wheel. The vehicle went off the road, hit a culvert, flipped over, and landed on its wheels.
The boy was taken to St. Francis Hospital with minor injuries.
Deputies say alcohol was not a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
