The drivers were taken to War Memorial Hospital, where they were treated and released.

A passenger in steel’s vehicle—his 57-year-old wife Suzette—was extricated from the vehicle with the Jaws of Life. She was transported to War Memorial, where she was pronounced dead at 6:30 a.m.

The crash remains under investigation.
