Disposal of old drugs offered Saturday

MARQUETTE, MI--   Get your old and unused medications out of storage.

The Drug Enforcement Administration and Michigan State Police are sponsoring another Prescription Drug Take Back Day this week. On Saturday residents can drop off tablets, capsules, patches and other solid forms of medication at partner agencies. The DEA will also accept vape pens or other e-cigarette devices, but only after the batteries are removed. Liquids, syringes and other sharps, and illegal drugs cannot be dropped off.

Prescription Drug Take Back Day is a national event that provides a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of drugs while educating the public about the potential for abuse of medications. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
