DNR licensing system working again

LANSING, MI--   After experiencing technical issues a day before the firearm deer season opener, the Department of Natural Resource’s licensing system is once again up and running.

Around 9 a.m. Saturday the system experienced slowness and timed-out transactions when customers tried to get licenses. By Saturday afternoon the system was processing transactions successfully. Officials say 45,000 hunters have bought licenses since then.

Hunters who were unable to purchase licenses can do so online at michigan.gov/dnrlicenses or at a local retailer to comply with state law.

The DNR continues to work with the vendor to identify the cause of the issues.
