Driver cited for causing Marquette crash

MARQUETTE, MI--   Four people were taken to the hospital following a three-vehicle crash in Marquette.

City Police say Tuesday around 10:10 p.m. a minivan that was southbound on McClellan Avenue ran a red light and struck a pickup traveling westbound on US-41.  The driver’s side window of a third vehicle was damaged by flying debris.

The drivers and passengers were taken to Marquette General Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. 

The driver of the van was cited for failing to stop at a red light. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
