Drugs, alcohol factors in Clark Township crash, officials say

CLARK TOWNSHIP, MI--   Two people were taken to the hospital following a traffic crash in Mackinac County Sunday. 

Michigan State Police from the St. Ignace Post say it happened around 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of M-129 and East Nordquist Road in Clark Township. A 20-year-old Cedarville man and 65-year-old woman from Goetzville were involved in the crash.

Both were taken to War Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Police say drugs and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
