Emard pleads to drug charges

MARQUETTE, MI--   A suspect in a Chocolay Township meth bust from January has pleaded guilty in the

case. 

Spencer Emard, 42, represented himself at his circuit court arraignment last week.  He pleaded to possession of a controlled substance and operating a meth lab.

Emard was one of three men arrested at the Marquette Motor Lodge January 27 after police found meth components in several rooms. 

Sentencing is set for March 27. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
