Escanaba police look for woman accused of check fraud

ESCANABA, MI--   The Escanaba Department of Public Safety is seeking information on the whereabouts of a woman accused of writing bad checks.

A two-count felony warrant and one-count misdemeanor warrant have been issued for Jessie Weissert, 38. She’s charged with check fraud – non-sufficient funds – three within 10 days.

Anyone who knows where Weissert is can send a private Facebook message to Escanaba Public Safety or call Delta County Central Dispatch at 786-5911.

 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
