Ford Airport to get federal money

KINGSFORD, MI--    Dickinson County’s Ford Airport is getting money from the Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration.

The Kingsford airport will receive $650,000 through the FAA’s Runway Incursion Mitigation Program.  The money will be used to rehabilitate runways.

The Delta County Airport also received money recently from the FAA for improvements.

The Runway Incursion Mitigation Program helps airports reduce the risk of incursions when an aircraft, vehicle, or person enters the protected area of an airport designated for aircraft landings and take-offs.
