Forsyth Township man arrested near Flatrock on meth charge

ESCANABA, MI--   A Gwinn man is jailed in Delta County on drug charges following a traffic stop Monday.

Around 10:50 p.m. deputies with the Delta County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle in the Flatrock area for an equipment violation. Through investigation and assistance from K-9 Jet a male passenger identified as David Thompson, 25, of Gwinn was arrested for possession of meth.

Thompson was lodged in the Delta County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

Charges are pending against other occupants of the vehicle.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
