MARQUETTE, MI-- The City of Marquette is hosting a forum on community relations with law enforcement.
Set by the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards, the meeting aims to gather input from residents on how to strengthen public trust and confidence in police.
Last October Governor Rick Snyder directed the commission to produce a set of recommendations by May 1 on how to bolster trust between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
The forum takes place Monday at 6 p.m. in room 122 of NMU’s Jacobetti Complex.
