Four child prostitution cases headed to Marquette County Circuit Court

MARQUETTE, MI--   Four of five suspects arrested in a Marquette County human trafficking and child prostitution sting in March have been bound over to circuit court.

Robert Miller of Negaunee, Ameire Stevens of Skandia, Alan Schwalbach of Vulcan, Keith Johnson of AuTrain and Chad Anderson of Gwinn are each charged with child sexually abusive activity, use of a computer to commit child sexually abusive activity, accosting a child for immoral purposes and use of a computer to commit accosting a child for immoral purposes.

Preliminary exams were held Tuesday for Miller, Stevens and Schwalbach. Each was bound over to 25th Circuit Court.

Johnson waived his preliminary exam. His case is now pending in circuit court.

Anderson’s prelim is scheduled for June 15 in 96th District Court.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
