MUNISING, MI-- The former principal of Munising Baptist School has been sentenced to five to 15 years prison for having sexual relations with a student.
Benjamin Franklin II, 35, was arrested in March and charged with three counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct. He was accused of having a relationship with a 16- to 18-year-old female student.
Franklin resigned as principal following his arrest. He was released on bond, which was revoked in June when he repeatedly tried to contact the victim in the case electronically.
Sentencing took place Wednesday in Alger County Circuit Court.
