ESCANABA, MI-- Escanaba Public Safety extinguished a garage fire in the city early Monday morning.
Firefighters were dispatched around 1:15 a.m. to a residence on the 5000 block of 18th Road and found heavy smoke and flames coming from the detached garage. Officers quickly knocked down the fire.
They also put out a small grass fire near the garage. Officers were on the scene for about an hour and a half, putting out hot spots.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
