Genre Fluid Friday on Classiclectic: 11/15/19

Nov 14, 2019

Genre Fluid Fridays on Classiclectic: Music exploration and discovery through the lens of classically-minded composers and musicians.  Explore beyond the horizon of classical music, Fridays on Public Radio 90, beginning just after 9:30am ET.

This edition brings newer releases from New Amsterdam Records, including music from Nathan Schram & Attacca Quartet and JACK Quartet & So Percussion.  A combination of harp and electronics comes from Sarah Page and her release Dose Curves, and veteran television and session musicians Pat Irwin & J. Walter Hawkes bring us Wide Open Sky.  We've also got a new recording of Telemann sonatas, bossa nova meets classical from Toquinho, the husband and wife duo of Folias Music (from Grand Rapids, Michigan), and pristine recordings of ballades of Chopin by Charles Richard-Hamelin.
