HANCOCK TOWNSHIP, MI-- Only minor injuries are reported in a Hancock Township snowmobile accident.
The Houghton County Sheriff’s Department says it happened Saturday at approximately 5:30 p.m. on M-203 near McClain State Park. An 18-year-old Hancock man was operating on the shoulder of the road when he went into the ditch and was thrown from the snowmobile.
A family member took the man to UPHS Portage, where he was treated and released.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
