Hit and run in Chocolay Township

CHOCOLAY TOWNSHIP, MI--   Chocolay Township Police are asking for the public’s help in catching a hit-and-run driver.  

Officers say the incident happened Sunday night around 10 p.m. on US-41 near Green Garden Road.

A northbound white Buick LeSabre crossed the white line and struck a woman southbound on a bicycle.  The victim was not seriously hurt.         

Officials say the car was occupied by two white males, one with dark hair and the other with light—possibly blond—hair. 

Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to call Chocolay Police at 249-4040. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
