Humboldt Township house burns down

HUMBOLDT TOWNSHIP, MI--   A home has been destroyed by fire in Humboldt Township.

WLUC-TV says it was reported around 1:40 p.m. on County Road FX. Township firefighters say the house was engulfed when they arrived. Three dogs perished in the fire.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

No one was at home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. An account for residents Holli Stimac and Tyler Lapointe has been set up at the TruNorth Credit Union in Ishpeming. Anttila’s Towing is also taking donations. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
