Interim CEO for UPHS-Marquette named

MARQUETTE, MI--   UP Health System has selected an interim CEO for UPHS-Marquette.

Jerry Dooley will come on board June 19. He takes over for Brian Sinotte, whose last day is June 21. Dooley has been with Duke LifePoint for more than a decade, serving as interim CEO for hospitals across the nation that are experiencing a leadership transition.

Before joining Duke LifePoint Dooley served as CEO at hospitals including Monroe Hospital in Bloomington, IN, Terre Haute Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, IN, Sarah Bush Lincoln Health center in Matoon, IL, and Vermillion County Hospital in Clinton, IN. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Indiana State University in Terre Haute and a master’s degree in hospital administration from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.

Dooley will remain with UPHS-Marquette until a permanent replacement can be found.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
