Iron Mountain 4-wheeler crash injures two

IRON MOUNTAIN, MI--   Two people are seriously injured, following an ATV crash in Iron Mountain.

Police say the accident happened Sunday around 2 p.m. near the intersection of South Forest and West E streets. Officers say two men in their 30s were riding in a 4-wheeler when a snowplow attached to the front made contact with the pavement. That caused the ATV to flip forward and throw both men headfirst onto the pavement. Neither man was wearing a helmet.

The riders were taken to Dickinson County Healthcare System for treatment of serious injuries. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.

Anyone with information regarding the accident is asked to call Iron Mountain Police at 774-1234.
