Iron River suspect arraigned on weapons, drug charges

CRYSTAL FALLS, MI--   An Iron River man accused of waving a handgun at someone in the parking lot of the CoVantage Credit Union parking lot Friday has been arraigned on several charges. 

Damian Donati, 38, is charged with carrying a concealed weapon and felonious assault with a dangerous weapon.  The incident and subsequent investigation led police to execute a search warrant at an Iron River residence.  As a result, Donati is also charged with delivery/manufacture of cocaine, heroin, or other narcotic, less than 50-grams, delivery/manufacture of a controlled substance, and delivery/manufacture of marijuana.

A probable cause hearing is set for February 10 in Iron County District Court.   

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
