Ironwood man arraigned on drug charges

IRONWOOD, MI--   Police have released the name of an Ironwood man arrested this week during a meth investigation. 

The Gogebic Iron Area Narcotics Team made controlled buys from Donald Jett, 52, then executed a search warrant at his Pine Street residence. Detectives seized numerous items, including drugs and money.

Jett was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver meth, possession of Vicodin, possession of Suboxone, possession of meth and Vicodin within 1,000 feet of a park, and maintaining a drug house.

Jett had been sent to prison in 2015 on similar charges. He was released from prison and put on probation last June.

Jett remains lodged in the Gogebic County Jail on a $100,000 cash bond. The Michigan Department of Corrections has placed a hold on him.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
