Ishpeming woman pulled from burning car in Tilden Township

TILDEN TOWNSHIP, MI--   Only minor injuries are reported in a car crash and fire in Marquette County Saturday.

Troopers from the Negaunee Post say it happened around 8:25 p.m. on County Road 476 near County Road PFH in Tilden Township. They say a car driven by a 47-year-old Ishpeming woman was northbound when it left the road and hit a large rock. The vehicle caught fire with the driver trapped inside. A passerby stopped and pulled the woman from the burning car.

The driver sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor. The crash remains under investigation.
