"It's On Us" starts Sunday at NMU

MARQUETTE, MI--   Northern Michigan University is holding a week of action to support education, prevention, and response to relationship violence and sexual misconduct next week. 

“It’s On Us” runs Sunday through Thursday. It begins with a screening of The Hunting Ground at 6 p.m. on Sunday in Jamrich Hall 1100. Other events include signing an It’s On Us banner and a table in Jamrich discussing what is consent versus what isn’t; a bystander intervention and supporting survivors table; and a workshop entitled Root Causes of Sexism and Upstander Intervention.

On Thursday Women for Women will host a Silence Is Not Consent rally. Participants can meet in the Hunt/Van Antwerp lobby by 5:30 p.m.
