Keweenaw deputies ask for tips on stolen boat

EAGLE RIVER, MI--   The Keweenaw County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a boat from M-26 south of Eagle Harbor.

The 16-foot Princecraft Resorter was on a trailer parked on the side of the highway just north of Great Sand Bay. Deputies say it was stolen between 2 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30 a.m. Thursday of last week.

The craft is black with two folding seats, a 25-horsepower Johnson outboard, and a Minnetonka electric bow mounted trolling motor. There’s miscellaneous fishing gear in the boat and the trailer lights don’t work.

Anyone with information about the boat is asked to call the Keweenaw County Sheriff’s Office at 906-337-0528.
