Man arrested for living in relative's Bruce Crossing home

ONTONAGON, MI--   The Ontonagon County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Dollar Bay man for home invasion and possession of marijuana.

Officials say the arrest initially stemmed from an identity theft complaint.

Deputies found the suspect living in a relative’s unoccupied home in Bruce Crossing. He was arrested outside the home without incident and lodged in the Ontonagon County Jail on a $1,000 bond.

Troopers from the Wakefield and Calumet Michigan State Police Posts assisted in the case.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
