Man convicted of CSC in Alger County

MUNISING, MI--    An Alger County man has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a juvenile.

Thomas Lemoine was accused of assaulting the victim at an AuTrain campground in July of 2014.  He was arrested by Michigan State Police on April 6 of this year.

Troopers say Lemoine was found guilty of second-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a juvenile less than 13 years of age by an Alger County jury on December 2.  He was taken into custody and will remain at the Alger County Jail until his January sentencing.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
