Man dies from injuries sustained in Sagola traffic accident

MARQUETTE, MI--   An Ishpeming man has died from injuries sustained in a Dickinson County crash.

It happened Sunday evening on M-95 in Sagola Township. A 66-year-old Channing man was southbound when he struck a northbound vehicle driven by a 21-year-old Ishpeming man. The driver of the northbound vehicle was taken to UPHS-Marquette, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

Michigan State Police from the Iron Mountain Post believe alcohol and weather conditions contributed to the crash. It remains under investigation.

Once completed, a police report will be forwarded to the Dickinson County Prosecutor’s Office.
