Man trapped after Iron Mountain crash

IRON MOUNTAIN, MI--   Two drivers were injured in a head-on crash in Iron Mountain Saturday.  

The Daily News reports a passenger car was on Hydraulic Falls Road Saturday around 5:25 p.m. when it was struck by an oncoming SUV.  The driver of the car had to be extricated from his vehicle. 

The male drivers were taken to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. 

The Dickinson County Road Commission barricaded both ends of Hydraulic Falls Road and sanded it. 

The accident remains under investigation.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
