Manistique drug suspect arraigned

MANISTIQUE, MI--   Police have released the name of a Manistique woman arrested on several drug charges.

Cynthia Jasmin, 56, was arrested after a several-month UPSET investigation.  Detectives executed a search warrant at a residence and seized an ounce of crack cocaine, marijuana, and cash related to narcotic sales.

Jasmin is charged with two counts of delivery and manufacture of a schedule 4 controlled substance, maintaining a drug house, and delivery of a controlled substance on school property, less than 50 grams.

A probable cause hearing is set for August 24.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
