He then sold them to Joseph Ellis, 41, of Negaunee. Officers say Ellis was storing the items and selling them to a third party.

Both suspects were arrested July 19. Briggs is charged with larceny in a building and receiving/concealing stolen property, $20,000 to $50,000. Ellis is charged with receiving/concealing stolen property $20,000 to $50,000.

Briggs and Ellis posted bond. They’re set to be arraigned on August 5.
