Marquette Police arrest Ishpeming man for knife assault

MARQUETTE, MI--   An Ishpeming man has been arrested for assaulting another man with a knife in Marquette.

The Marquette Police Department says the incident happened Wednesday just before 10 p.m. on the 400 block of West Hampton Street. Upon arrival officers encountered the victim, who had a laceration on his arm.

A search warrant was executed at the residence. Police say they found the suspected weapon and suspected drugs.

The victim was taken to UPHS-Marquette, treated and released.

Christapher Larson, 20, of Ishpeming was arrested for felonious assault and lodged in the Marquette County Jail.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
