MDOT presenting transportation plans at U.P. meetings

MARQUETTE, MI--   The Michigan Department of Transportation has scheduled a series of U.P. meetings to discuss its five-year transportation program and the State Transportation Improvement Program.

The plans will be presented and discussed at public input meetings in Sault Ste. Marie, Escanaba, and Houghton. Each meeting will run from 3 to 5 p.m.

The first is Tuesday, April 4 at Houghton City Hall.  The second takes place Thursday, April 6 at the International Bridge Administration conference room in the Soo. The third will be held Wednesday, April 12 at M-TEC at Bay College in room 2020.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
